Like so many industries, the welding industry has become a global marketplace. It doesn’t matter where important advances in automated welding technology occur—they affect the industry across the world.
That’s why Xiris was sure to be at last month’s Schweissen & Schneiden International Trade Fair in Essen, Germany, which is held every four years. The event brought together leading innovators in the welding industry from across the globe.
More than 50,000 people attended from over 100 countries, companies from 40 countries exhibited their technology, and we personally had visitors from more than 20 countries stop by our booth. This large, diverse turnout is just one example of the global nature of the industry today.
Because of this worldwide interconnectedness, we’ve made our website multilingual. You can now choose between English, French, German, and Spanish. Additional languages will be added in the coming months.
We’re highly motivated by the pace of technological change in the welding industry, and we find globalization exciting. Our XVC-O Weld Camera with High Dynamic Range imaging is a technology that we believe will have a positive impact on automated and semi-automated welding operations throughout the world—and we want to spread the word about its capabilities. We also want to let you know about other technological advances that can benefit welding processes.
That’s what this blog and our website are all about. And now we’re getting the word out in four languages instead of one!
Considering our mission of providing the best-possible weld monitoring solutions to fabricators everywhere, it’s a logical step for us.
